ISO 14001 certificate number EMS 69136 was officially registered on August 16, 2002. ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard that establishes requirements for an environmental management system (EMS). To achieve this certification, SMIC analyzed 2,400 elements in its products, activities and services related to the environment, and involved all suppliers and contractors in its environmental management efforts.
